"A quiet heart." Movie Review
The drama "The Quiet Heart" is a good work by director Roger Michel and screenwriter Christian Thorpe, which is combined with a great cast.
The concept of the plot is quite simple: Lily (Susan Sarandon) has a serious illness and decides to end her life before she becomes incapacitated. Her doctor husband Paul (Sam Neal) has provided a vial of pentobarbital, and Lily plans to drink it to end her life. She invites her family to spend the weekend with her, and celebrate Christmas to say goodbye. She gathers her family - Jennifer's rather tough daughter (Kate Winslet) and her husband Michael (Ryan Wilson) and their sons Jonathan (Anson Boone), daughter Anna (Mia Wasikowska) and her beloved Chris (Bex Taylor-Klaus), as well as her best friend Liz (Lindsay Duncan). Everything is going according to plan until facts come to light that threaten Lily's desire for a peaceful end. But Lily manages to calm down all the problems and say goodbye to her family on her terms. "Life is about love - love is everything."
The film takes place in 1968 in Alabama. The film tells about a little boy who comes to stay with his loving grandmother, but besides his grandmother he also meets powerful witches who really dislike children.
The little boy was played by Jazira Bruno, and his grandmother was played by the incredible Octavia Spencer. The role of the Supreme Witch was performed by Hathaway. And in my opinion, she played her role no worse than Angelica Huston in the 1990 film, although due to the graphics and the manifestations of brute force, it was aggravated and sinister.
Susan Sarandon impresses with her acting skills, which deserves the highest awards, and the entire cast is
a little girl with character.
Yes, such films have been shot many times before. Of course, it's possible that this movie is similar to Die Hard, but if you love this genre and don't expect anything extravagantly new... Just sit comfortably and enjoy the ride.
The director Ryuhei Kitamura is in his place, although, in my opinion, the choreography could have been worked out much better. Now about the script... There were 4 screenwriters working on the film, but we never got anything supernatural except a bunch of cliches and a predictable story. But it's a nice movie to watch, especially considering there's not a very good selection of movies in the cinema right now. The cinematography was not bad. The acting actually turned out to be quite good, even for "Kristen Stewart" thoughtless Ruby Rose. Compared to Megan Fox from "predator," Rose really played great. It was also nice to see Louis Mandylor always smiling. High rollers can benefit from special VIP bonuses that offer up to €500 in extra funds.
